Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
cleaning services provided by DPF Clean, whether the DPF is delivered in
person or sent via post.

1. Scope of Service

DPF Clean provides professional cleaning services for Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) either:

Off-Car DPF Cleaning – where the customer brings or sends the DPF to our facility.
Postal DPF Cleaning – where the customer ships the DPF to us and we return it after cleaning.

2. Warranty and Guarantee

We offer a six‑month Warranty (Terms & Conditions apply) on all DPFs cleaned by us, subject to the conditions outlined below.

2.1 Warranty Coverage

Re‑blockage of the DPF within six months due to carbon or soot build‑up.
Free re‑cleaning of the DPF (once) if blockage occurs under Warranty (Terms & Conditions apply) conditions.

3. Warranty Conditions

The six‑month Warranty (Terms & Conditions apply) is valid only if the following conditions are met:

3.1 Clean DPF History

The DPF must not have physical damage, oil contamination, or melted substrate.
The DPF must be cleaned before being fully blocked (no more than 98 % full).
The DPF must be an original unit, not a poor‑quality aftermarket replacement.

3.2 No Underlying Engine or System Faults

The Warranty (Terms & Conditions apply) is void if re‑blockage is caused by:

Faulty injectors
Faulty turbo or excessive oil usage
EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve faults
Failed glow plugs or sensors
Incorrect fuel mixtures or poor combustion
ECU tuning or software deletes that affect DPF operation

3.3 Professional Installation and Diagnosis

The DPF must be refitted by a competent mechanic or workshop.
The cause of the original blockage must be diagnosed and repaired before refitting.
Proof of diagnostics and repairs may be requested for Warranty (Terms & Conditions apply) claims.

4. Exclusions from Warranty

The Warranty (Terms & Conditions apply) does not cover:

Physical damage to the DPF before or after cleaning.
Ceramic core damage, melting, or collapse.
Re‑blockage due to engine issues or poor maintenance.
Labour costs, vehicle downtime, or recovery fees.
DPFs used on remapped, performance‑tuned, or non‑standard vehicles.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Ensure the DPF is removed and reinstalled by a professional.
Provide accurate vehicle and DPF information.
Rectify all underlying engine faults before refitting.
Use quality fuel and follow manufacturer service intervals.

6. Postal Cleaning Terms

All DPFs shipped to us must be securely packaged.
We are not liable for damage during shipping.
Return shipping is included in our quoted price unless otherwise agreed.
All postal items are returned via tracked courier service.

7. Turnaround Time

Off‑car cleaning is usually completed within 24–48 hours.
Postal cleaning: 2–3 working days from receipt, subject to workload.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is strictly limited to the cost of the DPF cleaning service provided. We are not responsible for any consequential loss, including vehicle damage or financial losses.
